Lena Cottray
Senior Designer
A brief background about yourself
Due to my father’s profession in Hotels, I grew up moving around Asia & Europe; notably Thailand, Australia, Bali, Saudi Arabia, Germany and Monaco. With a dual French/German nationality I speak French, German and English. Through my multi-cultural exposure and being tri-lingual has enabled me to understand and cater to a variety of cultures in my designs.
I studied Art History at Goldsmiths and worked in the art world briefly before following my passion for Interior Design gaining an Honours in Interior Design from Chelsea College of Art & Design.

What is your design style or specialism?
I love all things FF&E and mixing different textures. I’m a design junkie who loves mid-century contemporary design in particular from Scandinavia, France and Italy. I also have a big love for ceramics.
Who is your biggest design inspiration?
There are so many inspirational and talented designers, but to name a few I would have to say that India Mahdavi, Pierre Yovanovich, Charles Zana and Mathieu Lehanneur are high on my list.
What are your hobbies or interests?
I am a big yogi, who also loves art and visiting galleries and exhibitions. I am also a massive foodie as well as always checking out new and exciting spots on all of the above.
